Every creative journey begins with a story. For LizArtworks, that story began in 2005 in Uganda, where a passion for textiles, craftsmanship, beading/jewellery making and cultural expression first took shape.

In January 2025, LizArtworks set up at the Turku Kauppatori street market — bringing African-inspired fashion, custom t-shirts, and live heat-press printing to the heart of Turku.
In 2023, LizArtworks opened its first physical store in the Nordic region at Torrgatan 9 in Mariehamn, Åland — a vibrant space where African heritage and Scandinavian culture came together under one roof.

In 2008, LizArtworks opened its first permanent kiosk at the Uganda Bookshop Crafts Village — a lively hub of artisans, traders, and handmade treasures in the heart of Kampala.
In June 2006, LizArtworks took its first steps at a bustling street market by the old railway station in Uganda — surrounded by handcrafted goods, vibrant colours, and the creative energy that would shape everything to come.
